Corte al Lago is a new suite beyond the walls of Civita di Bagnoregio – our invitation to explore another captivating corner of Tuscia.
Here in the medieval village crowned by the Castle of Bolsena, as in Civita, time softens and waits.
Where breakfast is served on fine porcelain and linen, as the aroma of fresh bread and cappuccino rises from the kitchen.
Where the lake’s blue reflection filters through the delicate curtains of the upstairs sitting room.
Where the freestanding tub eases the day’s fatigue.
And where, at last, eyes close in the generous bedroom, lulled to sleep by the moon shimmering on the lake’s surface.
Corte al Lago – Timeless Retreat recreates the spirit of Corte della Maestà with a touch of added exclusivity.
The home, reserved for one couple only, has its own private entrance along the village pathways. On the ground floor, guests enter into a space crowned by a hand-painted scenic canvas – an original early 20th-century French backdrop. Here, you’ll find a spacious dining room and a separate kitchen, where each morning our Corte team prepares and serves breakfast – lavish in both quantity and presentation.
Upstairs, an 1800s-inspired lounge offers deep armchairs and sofas for quiet, intimate moments, surrounded by shelves of novels ready to be opened. Two doors lead from the sitting room: one to a generous bedroom with a privileged view of the lake’s horizon, the other to a refined bathroom featuring a freestanding tub, a spacious walk-in shower, and a tall window overlooking the village’s stone alleys.
We long for solitude – where time slows and gently dissolves.
