The Bishop's garden

It is a wonderful private garden, the largest in Civita, and belongs to the owners' house, il Vescovado. A surprise is in store for guests, who can ask to visit it or who may get up one morning to discover that breakfast has unexpectedly been prepared in this magical place, under the shade of the large fig tree and many others fruit trees, surrounded by a unique collection of roses and hydrangeas. In this garden there is also a Roman cistern that collects rainwater and a seventeenth-century travertine pool from which wonderful water lilies bloom.
